arc configuration series (1998 - 2003) -  Nature conjures extraordinary power – extreme energies…what we see…do not see…what we experience…nostalgia, its wonder, curiosities, inner structure, matrix, magic and mystery... Living breathing northern Minnesota and Wisconsin for years, I continue to be inspired by the power of the big lake in all its manifestations, change, mood, presence - no doubt it has had a profound influence on my painting to this day.  Take a close look, one can see the "arc" of the earth while viewing out over Lake Superior, a peripheral vision, while seasonal aurora borealis conjures energy, mystery, surrealist  imagery. Early years in Southern California were formative, oceans power and Mediterranean light....this arc series offered a major change in my work from that period...
